SMA Muhammadiyah Holds Inspiring Islamic Leadership Camp for Students
May 13, 2025

In an effort to cultivate future Muslim leaders with strong faith and noble character, SMA Muhammadiyah [City] successfully held its annual Islamic Leadership Camp (ILC) last weekend. The event was attended by over 200 students from grades 10 and 11, and took place at a serene outdoor training ground surrounded by nature.
The two-day camp was filled with various enriching activities, including motivational talks by prominent alumni, Islamic workshops, team-building games, tahajjud prayer, and group discussions on leadership in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
Mr. Rizky Hidayatullah, the school’s Islamic Studies Coordinator, emphasized that the camp is more than just a retreat: “It’s a spiritual journey that helps students reconnect with their purpose as young Muslims and strengthens their commitment to lead with wisdom and compassion.”
Participants shared how the camp helped them develop better communication skills, empathy, and spiritual discipline. Many students said the experience inspired them to become more active in school organizations such as OSIS, Rohis, and extracurricular clubs.
The school plans to continue the program annually and expand its reach by inviting students from other Muhammadiyah branches to join in the future.
